June Lake Jam Fest 7 Fall Music Festival Returns to Gull Lake Park

The boutique jam band festival, in its seventh year, is renowned for its rich musical offerings, and scenic lakeside venue. The annual event, held from September 9th to the 11th, raises funds to support creative arts in Mono County.

June Lake, CA – August 1, 2022 – The June Lake Jam Fest, an annual fundraising event for the June Lake Loop Performing Arts Association (JLLOOPPAA) has announced dates and the band lineup for what will be their seventh annual jam band mountain music festival. The event, dubbed “There’s No Place Like Home” edition, takes place in the Eastern Sierra town of June Lake, CA from September 9th to the 11th.

The popular music festival makes its return after hosting a post COVID online version in 2020, and having to cancel the event altogether in 2021 due to COVID restrictions. According to Janet Hunt, Coordinator of the festival, the theme “There’s No Place Like Home” speaks to the close and intimate relationships that underscores the unique nature of the festival.

“Jam Fest is much more than a music festival,” said Hunt. “Close bonds have been forged between the festival, the bands, and the fans. Everyone looks forward to coming together in the mountains, beside the lake, and renewing the bonds of friendship that are created by sharing art and music, song and dance. This is a family. This is a community. And this is a long-awaited homecoming.”

Slated to perform this year are GrooveSession, Dead Winter Carpenters, Cubensis, Moonalice, Shaky Feelin’, The Storytellers, Jelly Bread, Achilles Wheel, Kareeta, Universe Peoples, Scott Pemberton O Theory, Tracorum, Alex Jordan Band, Hempstring Orchestra, Common Allies, Tenacious T & the Eaze and a performance by the Mammoth High School Jazz Ensemble. Preeminent poster artist Darrin Brenner designed the The Wizard of Oz-inspired festival poster.

“The Jam Fest lineup was carefully curated so as to provide fans with a wide range of talent and musical styles,” stated Hunt. “Besides jam bands, our guests will enjoy rock, funk, folk, bluegrass, and more. Each act is comprised of top-tier musicians, all of them committed to producing creative, colorful, improvisational, and joy filled sounds that will inspire the festival goers to dance and sing along.”

Jam Fest is hosted by JLLOOPPAA, a nonprofit organization that provides cultural enrichment by supporting the creative and performing arts in Mono County. They host, sponsor and fund a range of educational, exhibitive and performing arts opportunities and events. They support emerging local talent and enrich the creative economy and enliven the artistic values of the community.

The festival provides opportunities for arts, crafts and food vendors, as well as camping, boating, hiking, fishing, biking, dining and more.
